Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Union Minister of State for Electronics and Technology, has stated that Apple, a popular gadget maker, is working on addressing supply constraints for certain models of iPhones in India. In response to a user’s complaint about private players selling specific iPhone models in Delhi NCR for cash, the minister tweeted that Apple assured him they are meeting the demand for iPhone 14 but facing supply constraints for iPhone 14 Pro. The user also claimed that a deliberate notion of unavailability was created to generate extra profits.

The festive season has witnessed a surge in demand for the newly-launched iPhone 14, with attractive offers from various e-commerce and retail platforms contributing to the demand.

Furthermore, Apple announced last month that it would commence manufacturing its latest iPhone 14 models in India shortly after their global unveiling on September 7.

Specific details about the manufacturing location in India, the second-largest smartphone market, have not been publicly disclosed. However, reports suggest that the locally produced models will enter the market later this year.
